The most popular Riesling in the Delinat range is the extraordinary Riesling Terra Rossa from the Hirschhof vineyard. The grapes grow on red soil in the midst of the diversity of nature. This Riesling is repeatedly awarded top marks in wine competitions and even Delinat customers get carried away.
Riesling – indebted to its origins
There are only a few varieties in which their origin is as clearly reflected as in the case of Riesling – so it is considered a classic terroir wine. Organic cultivation enhances terroir character, that is the influence of soil and climate. An impressive variety of beneficial insects, plants and flowers can be found in the vineyards of Delinat wine producers. A lot of hard work and creative drive lie behind this. Their efforts pay off. How tantalising is the taste of the delicate Mosel Riesling of Timo Dienhart, for example, with its fine interplay of sweetness and acidity; how exquisite the juicy, aromatic wines of Alexander Pflüger from the Palatinate and how mouth-filling the deeply satisfying Rieslings from Rheinhessen. Riesling of this quality is elegant, full of finesse and mineral in quality, and it boasts vivacious acidity and tanginess. A delight.
Pushing Riesling to the limits
First-class Riesling comes not only from Germany’s large locations but also from Alsace and Austria where there is a long tradition with this variety. From the Delinat range, we especially recommend the Riesling of Weingut Harm from the famous Wachau location of Dürnsteiner Kellerberg.
